After a smooth development process and an exciting grand opening in November 2021, Acteeum Group and Equilis Poland sold Galeria Andrychow. Acteeum and Equilis are joint investors and developers of the 24,000 sqm GLA Andrychów Power Center. For BIG Shopping Centers group this was the first major acquisition in Poland. Included in the price is also a development opportunity on the plot. Both Acteeum and Equilis intent to allocate the Andrychów transaction proceeds to further expansion on the retail market in Poland.

Galeria Andrychów is the largest retail park opened in Poland in 2021. The shopping center offers 24,000 m² of GLA, and over 30 stores, including Lidl supermarket, DIY Leroy Merlin, fashion brands, footwear, electronics and household appliances store, drugstores and more. The Andrychów complex developed with a great care of the environmental features and social responsibility, proved to be an extremely successful project throughout the development and commercialization process. Developed in line with the initial schedule, the scheme was leased long before the grand opening in November 2021. It is a fine successor of the attractive and powerful Galeria Chełm which opened in March 2020.

– Galeria Andrychów is the largest retail park opened in 2021 in Poland. In 2021 the park won the prestigious «Future Project» award of the 13th edition of the Europa Property CEE Retail & Marketplace Award. Galeria Andrychów is fully leased and since its opening the power center has served the nearly 200,000 inhabitants of the city and the surrounding area. We see the success as an inspiration for the new schemes we are now preparing for the market.

– says Tomasz Szewczyk, Managing Partner of Acteeum Central Europe.

– The joint business model with Acteeum in the retail real estate segment consists of the design, leasing, construction, commercialization and subsequent sale of retail projects. We are glad that Galeria Andrychów is in good hands. The excellent location of the retail park, the attractive tenant mix and its growing popularity among the residents of Andychów, will contribute toa promising future of the place. Our investments, including Galeria Chełm, are being developed in attractive locations, tailored to local needs. For Galeria Chełm the 2022 visitor numbers in October of 1,6 million already passed the annual 2021 numbers in the third quarter.

– says Anna Dużyńska, President of the Management Board of Equilis Poland.

The recent sale is another proof of the successful cooperation spirit between Acteeum and Equilis. It also proves the commercial success of the project, from the perspective of investors, tenants and visitors. The success inspires the involved parties for growth of the retail park portfolio.
