Works on the largest retail park currently under construction in Poland are entering the main development phase. Acteeum Central Europe and Falcon Investment Management, together with the general contractor MIRBUD S.A. and Mayor Rafał Piech, symbolically laid the cornerstone to inaugurate the next stage of construction of OTO Park Siemianowice.

The project is one of the few in Poland, that will meet the strict requirements of the international BREEAM Excellent certificate. The ceremony gathered representatives of the investors, local authorities, and the contractor. The foundation act, commemorating the event, was signed and ceremonially laid by Mayor Rafał Piech, Tomasz Szewczyk (President of the Management Board of Acteeum Group), Jarosław Retmaniak (Falcon Investment Management), and Tomasz Sałata (MIRBUD S.A.).

The laying of the cornerstone confirms not only the advancement of work but also a great commercial success. This is our flagship investment, which will set a new standard for regional retail – both in terms of shopping offer and environmental responsibility.

– says Tomasz Szewczyk, Managing Partner Acteeum Central Europe.

OTO Park is applying for the BREEAM Excellent certification, deploying solutions like photovoltaic panels and electric car charging stations.

The new facility, which will ultimately offer over 20,000 sqm of leasable area, is being built on the site of the former Laura/Jedność Steelworks – a location of particular historical importance for the city. The architecture of OTO Park draws inspiration from the materials that symbolized the old steelworks: red brick and steel.

The first stage of work, which involved demolitions and clearing a huge amount of debris, lasted four months and was carried out according to sustainable construction principles. All demolition material was reused on the construction site.

This investment is not only the development of the local economy but also real support for residents: new jobs, greater availability of services, and an impulse for further revitalization of the city center.

– says Rafał Piech, Mayor of Siemianowice Śląskie.

OTO Park Siemianowice Śląskie is a key investment of its type in the region. When completed, it will house nearly 45 stores. Eleven months before the planned opening in the third quarter of 2026, the facility is already practically fully leased, with nearly 90% of the area rented.

The wide range of tenants will include grocery operators (Lidl), fashion (Half Price, New Yorker, Sinsay, Cropp, House), footwear (CCC, Deichmann, e-obuwie), discount stores, as well as drugstores, sports, and home furnishing stores (Jysk, Agata Home, Pan Materac, Media Expert). Importantly, the facility will include the largest fitness club in the city, Fabryka Formy, and a children’s play center “Zajawka,” each counting 1,000 sqm. The investment will also create up to 300 new jobs.

The construction of OTO Park is excellent news for the residents of Siemianowice Śląskie. It is proof that Siemianowice is becoming an attractive and dynamically developing investment center.

– concludes Piotr Piechocki, president of Falcon Investment Management.
